Jackson McDonald - Artist Portfolio
Jackson McDonald is a medical artist and illustrator. He studied Interdisciplinary Arts at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design attaining his bachelor of Fine Arts, and Medical Art at the University of Dundee attaining a masters in science.
He has always had an interest in figuring out how things work, learning the ways in which the complicated systems that exist in this world function. He found the best way to understand and explain concepts is through the arts. Whether it be drawings, paintings, digital work, or creative writing, he's discovered that along with finding it incredibly satisfying to create, its equality satisfy to have that creation explain something. This has lead him to the field of Medical Arts and a pursuit of education and explanation through art.
Alongside his interest in science and medicine he also has interest in the field of Illustration. Using his knowledge of anatomy and materials to design and illustrate fantastical characters.
